SUMMER SEASON

Join us for an exhilarating evening of contemporary dance as Scimm. Dance presents its first cohort of pre-professional dancers in a stunning triple bill. The showcase features innovative works choreographed by Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes, alongside pieces by acclaimed guest choreographers Neale Whittaker, Melissa Pham, and Jayden Wall.
Experience three distinct styles of contemporary dance. This performance not only highlights our dancers' hard work and dedication but also showcases the high calibre of creative excellence Scimm. Dance instils in its full-time training course.
Aspiring dancers and enthusiasts looking to take their passion to the professional level in 2025 will find inspiration in the precision and artistry on display. Friends and family of the performers and the general public are invited to witness what our students achieve through their commitment and creativity.
This event is open to all ages and uses strobe lighting and haze effects to enhance the visual impact of each performance.

OPEN COMPANY CLASS
We are excited to open our studio doors to advanced-level dancers looking to experience the energy, expertise, and creativity of Scimm. Dance. Join us every Tuesday morning until November 26th for a unique opportunity to train alongside our professional company and immerse yourself in our signature Scimm. style of contemporary dance.
Class Details | Location: Australian Academy of Dance (80 Waverly Road, Malvern East, VIC 3145)
Each session offers two classes—ballet, followed by contemporary—and you can choose to attend either or both. This is your chance to train with our Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny & Tim Barnes.
Ballet (9:00 AM - 10:30 AM) | Contemporary (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM)
Pricing | Ballet or Contemporary: $25 per class | Both Classes: $40 for the morning

AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Our Ascension training offers weekly extension programs for dancers aged 8 to 19 years in contemporary dance. We are looking for committed and driven young dancers who want to build their technique, creativity and knowledge of contemporary dance.
Dancers will have the exclusive opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals such as Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes, Kara Burdack, Zara Lim, Oliver Sievers, Samuel Dominic, BAiley Glen and Shaylin Durban.
Technique training focuses on contemporary and classical ballet in addition to conditioning, pilates, and yoga. Jazz technique, musical theatre and lyrical classes will also be offered.
The training program runs weekly on Fridays between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM during school terms at Melbourne Dance Centre - 75 Weston St, Brunswick, VIC.
