The Scimm. Dance Pre-Professional 2026 intake audition is your chance to join one of Australia’s most progressive and industry-connected contemporary dance training programs.
Dancers will experience ballet, contemporary, and improvisation with Scimm.’s leading faculty, including Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes, alongside Ballet Coordinator Andie Dashwood.

One week. Limitless transformation. Step into the world of Scimm. Dance - The Experience, an electrifying, high-impact intensive for dancers aged 9 to 25 who crave performance, professional mentorship, and creative firepower without the long commitment.
This is your chance to train directly with Scimm. Dance Artistic Directors, Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes, alongside an elite faculty of contemporary, ballet, commercial, and jazz artists. In just one week, you’ll create, rehearse, and perform in a bold new work, culminating in a powerful showcase performance on Sunday, September 28 at 7:30 PM.

Join us for an evening of striking contemporary dance as the 2025 Scimm. Dance Pre-Professional cohort takes the stage for their Winter Season.
Showcasing a powerful collection of choreographic works, this performance highlights the versatility and artistry of a new generation of dancers. Audiences will experience an engaging mix of contemporary, classical, lyrical and commercial styles, brought to life through both ensemble and solo pieces. Works by an exciting lineup of choreographers including Samuel Dominic, Melissa Pham, Shaylin Durban, Bailey Glen, Nadia Tornese, Isabelle Fox, Chimene Steele-Prior, Sian Kelly and Rachel Coulson will be performed alongside creations by Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes.
This annual showcase reflects the depth of creative training offered through Scimm. Dance's full-time training program and is a celebration of emerging talent within Melbourne’s vibrant dance community. Aspiring dancers looking to take their passion to profession in 2026 are especially encouraged to attend.

ASCENSION TRAINING PROGRAM
