The Scimm. Dance Certificate IV in Dance offers a comprehensive learning experience for aspiring dancers. Students develop a wide range of dance techniques, performance skills, and creative expression under expert choreographers and industry professionals. Learning is delivered through practical classes, research assignments, and online learning. The course culminates in performance assessments, allowing students to showcase their skills in front of assessors and live audiences.

Term 1 - Conditioning & Self-Evaluation
Term 1 focuses on physical conditioning and self-reflection. Units cover topics like anatomy, flexibility, and strength, along with managing feedback to foster growth. This helps students optimize performance and develop resilience.


Term 2 - Ballet & Performance
Students refine their ballet technique and engage in rehearsal and live performances, focusing on precision, control, and stage readiness. Units such as Rehearse for Performances develop their skills for professional presentation.

Term 3 - Professional Practice & Competitive Environments
Students learn how to sustain to professional dance career by balancing artistic growth and industry demands. Units cover competitive environments, including auditions and performances, helping dancers build resilience and confidence for the professional stage.

Qualification: CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance)

The Scimm. Dance Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) builds on the foundational skills from the Certificate IV, offering advanced training in ballet, contemporary dance, and professional environments. Delivered by industry professionals, this two-year course prepares dancers for elite performance through studio-based training, academic research, and performance opportunities.



Term 1 - Conditioning & Performance Fitness
Students focus on maintaining peak fitness, with units on anatomy and injury prevention. They refine their ballet and contemporary techniques, building the stamina and flexibility required for high-level performance.


Term 2 - Ballet & Contemporary
This term emphasizes precision and artistry in ballet and contemporary dance. Dancers engage in solo and ensemble work, perfecting their skills through variations and contemporary pieces that highlight their adaptability.

Term 3 - Professional Practice & Competitive Environments
Students learn how to sustain to professional dance career by balancing artistic growth and industry demands. Units cover competitive environments, including auditions and performances, helping dancers build resilience and confidence for the professional stage.


CUA40120 - Certificate IV in Dance and CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) are nationally recognised training products. Scimm. Dance provides recruitment, training, and assessment delivery services on behalf of ATOD (Registered Training Organisation #31624) in the deliver of these courses in 2025.
