MONARK
Performed by our Platforms Youth Company in 2022, Monark explores the idea of toxic classism rooted in the history of monarchies active during 17th century Europe.
This brand new abstract work follows a fictional royal monarchy in 1665 as they live and process their interactions with the general public. As the contrast between their lived experiences becomes increasingly exposed, the emotional pressures trickling through their society become too much for the monarchy to bear.
Monark features choreography by Artistic Directors Scott Pokorny and Tim Barnes alongside guest choreographers Sabrina Phillip, Petros Treklis and Emma Moran.
